The process

Filing an insurance claim can be confusing and overwhelming. That’s why we specialize in helping our customers deal with their insurance companies.

The first thing to do is to contact your insurance company and schedule an appointment with an adjuster to assess any damages. We are happy to come out at the same time as your adjuster to help you be certain that you have an advocate to make sure that your best interests are being served. After the adjuster finishes the assessment, the insurance company will most likely send you a summary of damages. You will have the opportunity to review this summary and we are glad to go over it with you. Once you accept the insurance company’s assessment they will usually send you a check for half of the total amount of the insurance claim.

Replacing / Repairing the roof

Following the claim approval we will work with you to choose all the proper materials for your new roof or repair. If there is a mortgage on your home the first insurance check will probably need your mortgage company’s approval of the contract. (We can help you through this process if you have any problems.)

At this point we can begin your repairs or the replacement of your roof. We will continue to help you make sure that your insurance claim paperwork is being handled properly.

After the job is complete, we will submit the signed verification of the completed roof project to your insurance company. After the insurance company reviews the information, you will be sent a second check to cover the remaining cost that the first check did not cover. At that point you will pay us the final invoice for your roof and the project and insurance claim will be complete.

We are happy to help throughout this entire process. If you think you have any type of roof damage don’t hesitate to give us a call and we will stop by to give you a free inspection and answer any questions you may have.
